8th Grade: Virtual Building Design
Driving Question:
Can I design a building or facility, to meet the needs of community members in terms of housing, industry, recreation, education and healthcare?
Class Summary:
Students are given a design challenge to plan a virtual building or facility. Students will then build a virtual 3D model of their plan. Students will discuss and identify zoning, identify basic city services (such as emergency services, transportation, and education). Students will consider many aspects of building planning as it relates to housing, industry, recreation, education and healthcare.
*Checkpoint means a grade will be entered for that section of the project.
